Anas bin Malik narrated that : Allah's Messenger said: Whoever performs Salat for Allah for forty days in congregation, catching the first Takbir, two absolutions are written for him: absolution from the Fire, and absolution from the Fire, and absolution from hypocrisy.

حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ وَنَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قُتَيْبَةَ سَلْمُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ، عَنْ طُعْمَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ صَلَّى لِلَّهِ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا فِي جَمَاعَةٍ يُدْرِكُ التَّكْبِيرَةَ الْأُولَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كُتِبَتْ لَهُ بَرَاءَتَانِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ النَّارِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَبَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَنَسٍ مَوْقُوفًا وَلَا أَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا رَفَعَهُ إِلَّا مَا رَوَى سَلْمُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ طُعْمَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍوَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنَّمَا يُرْوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ الْبَجَلِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَوْلَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ طَهْمَانَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ الْبَجَلِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ نَحْوَهُ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَوَى إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَ هَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَيْرُ مَحْفُوظٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ حَدِيثٌ مُرْسَلٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعُمَارَةُ بْنُ غَزِيَّةَ لَمْ يُدْرِكْ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ يُكْنَى أَبَا الْكَشُوثَى وَيُقَالُ:‏‏‏‏ أَبُو عُمَيْرَةَ.

انس بن مالک رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس نے اللہ کی رضا کے لیے چالیس دن تک تکبیر اولیٰ کے ساتھ باجماعت نماز پڑھی تو اس کے لیے دو قسم کی برات لکھی جائے گی: ایک آگ سے برات، دوسری نفاق سے برات“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: انس سے یہ حدیث موقوفاً بھی روایت کی گئی ہے، اور ہم نہیں جانتے کہ ابوقتیبہ سلمہ بن قتیبہ کے سوا کسی نے اسے مرفوع روایت کیا ہو یہ حدیث حبیب بن ابی حبیب بجلی سے بھی روایت کی جاتی ہے انہوں نے اسے انس بن مالک سے روایت کیا ہے اور اسے انس ہی کا قول قرار دیا ہے، اسے مرفوع نہیں کیا، نیز اسماعیل بن عیاش نے یہ حدیث بطریق «عمارة بن غزية عن أنس بن مالك عن عمر بن الخطاب عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» اسی طرح روایت کی ہے، اور یہ حدیث غیر محفوظ اور مرسل ۱؎ ہے، عمارہ بن غزیہ نے انس بن مالک کا زمانہ نہیں پایا۔

Abu Sa'eeed Al Khudri narrated: When Allah;s Messenger stood for Salat during the night, he would say the Takbir (Allahu Akbar), then say: (Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika wa Tabarakasmuka wa Ta'ala Jadduka wa la ilaha ghairuk.) 'Glorious You are O Allah, and with Your praise, and blesses is Your Name, and exalted is Your majesty, and none has the right to be worshipped but You' Then he would say: (A'udhu Bilahi As-Sami'il-Alimi min Ash-Shaitanir-Rajimi, min Hamzihi Wa Nafkhihi wa Nafthihi.) 'Allah is undoubtedly the greatest.' (Allahu Akbaru Kabira). Then he would say: 'I seek refuge in Allah the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from the cursed Shaitan, from his madness, his arrogance, and his poetry.'

Aishah narrated: When the Prophet opened the Salat he would say: (Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika wa tabarakasmuka, wa ta'ala jadduka wa la ilaha ghairuk) 'Glorious You are O Allah, and with Your praise, and blessed is Your Name, and exalted is Your majesty, and none has the right to be worshipped but You.'

Ibn Abdullah bin Mughaffal narrated: While I was praying, I said: Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Beneficent. My father heard me and said: O my son this is a newly invented matter, beware of the newly-invented.' He (Ibn Abdullah) said: I have not seen any one of the Companions of Allah's Messenger who hated a newly invented matter in Islam more than him. And he said: 'Ihave performed Salat with the Prophet, and with Abu Bakr, and Umar, and with Uthman. I did not hear any one of them saying it. So do not say it. When you are performing Salat say: Al-Hamdu lilahi Rabbil-Alamin All praise is due to Allah the Lord of all that exists.'
