Abdullah bin al-samit told that Abu Dharr said: Messenger of Allah! A man loves some people, but he cannot do work like their work. He replied; Yes, Abu Dharr, will be with those whom you love. Abu Dharr then repeated it. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم also repeated it.

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ الرَّجُلُ يُحِبُّ الْقَوْمَ وَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَعْمَلَ كَعَمَلِهِمْ،‏‏‏‏ قال:‏‏‏‏ أَنْتَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ،‏‏‏‏ قال:‏‏‏‏ فَإِنِّي أُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ،‏‏‏‏ قال:‏‏‏‏ فَإِنَّكَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ،‏‏‏‏ قال:‏‏‏‏ فَأَعَادَهَا أَبُو ذَرٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَعَادَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے پوچھا: اللہ کے رسول! ایک شخص ایک قوم سے محبت کرتا ہے لیکن ان جیسا عمل نہیں کر پاتا؟ آپ نے فرمایا: اے ابوذر! تو اسی کے ساتھ ہو گے جس سے تم محبت کرتے ہو تو انہوں نے کہا: میں تو اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے محبت رکھتا ہوں، تو آپ نے فرمایا: تم اسی کے ساتھ ہو گے، جس سے تم محبت رکھتے ہو ابوذر نے پھر یہی کہا: تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پھر وہی دہرایا۔

Anas bin Malik said: I never saw the Companions of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم so happy about anything as I saw them happy about this thing. A man said: Messenger of Allah! A man loves another man for the good work which he does, but he himself cannot do like it. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: A man will be with those whom he loves.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: He who is consulted is trustworthy.

Abu Masud al-Ansari said: A man came to the prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and said: Messenger of Allah! I have been left without a mount. So give me a mount. He replied: I have no mount to give, but go to so and so; he may perhaps give you a mount. He then went to him and he gave him a mount. He came to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and informed him about it. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: if anyone guides someone to a good (deed), he will get the reward like the reward of the one who does it.

Narrated Abud Darda: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Your love for a thing causes blindness and deafness.

Narrated Muawiyah: Make intercession, you will be rewarded, for I purposely delay a matter so that you intercede and then you are rewarded. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: If you make intercession, you will be rewarded.
