Narrated Abud Darda: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Your love for a thing causes blindness and deafness.

حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حُبُّكَ الشَّيْءَ:‏‏‏‏ يُعْمِي وَيُصِمُّ .

ابو الدرداء رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تمہارا کسی چیز سے محبت کرنا تمہیں اندھا بہرہ بنا دیتا ہے ۱؎ ۔
