Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: if a man becomes the client of any people without the permission of his patrons (i. e. those who have freed him), on him will be the curse of Allah, of angels and of all people; no obligatory or supererogatory worship will be accepted from him.

حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ تَوَلَّى قَوْمًا بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِ مَوَالِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَدْلٌ وَلَا صَرْفٌ .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو شخص اپنے مولیٰ ( آقا ) کی اجازت ۱؎ کے بغیر کسی قوم کو اپنا مولیٰ ( آقا ) بنائے تو اس پر اللہ کی، فرشتوں کی اور تمام ہی لوگوں کی لعنت ہے، قیامت کے دن نہ اس کا کوئی فرض قبول ہو گا اور نہ ہی کوئی نفل قبول ہو گی ۔

Anas bin Malik reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: If anyone pretends to be the son of a man other than his father, or attributes his freedom to people other than those who set him free, on him will be the curse of Allah that will continue till the day of resurrection.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Allah, Most High, has removed from you the pride of the pre-Islamic period and its boasting in ancestors. One is only a pious believer or a miserable sinner. You are sons of Adam, and Adam came from dust. Let the people cease to boast about their ancestors. They are merely fuel in Jahannam; or they will certainly be of less account with Allah than the beetle which rolls dung with its nose.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Masud: If anyone helps his people in an unrighteous cause, he is like a camel which falls into a well and is pulled out by its tail.
