Narrated 'Ali bin Abi Talib [may Allah be pleased with him]: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Indeed, every Prophet has a Hawari, and my Hawari is Az-Zubair bin Al-'Awwam.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ حَوَارِيًّا،‏‏‏‏ وَإِنَّ حَوَارِيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيُقَالُ:‏‏‏‏ الْحَوَارِيُّ هُوَ النَّاصِرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏سَمِعْت ابْنَ أَبِي عُمَرَ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ:‏‏‏‏ الْحَوَارِيُّ هُوَ النَّاصِرُ.

علی رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ہر نبی کے حواری ہوتے ہیں ۱؎ اور میرے حواری زبیر بن عوام ہیں“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اور حواری مددگار کو کہا جاتا ہے، میں نے ابن ابی عمر کو کہتے ہوئے سنا کہ سفیان بن عیینہ نے کہا ہے کہ حواری کے معنی مددگار کے ہیں۔

Narrated Jabir [may Allah be pleased with him]: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Indeed, every Prophet has a Hawari and, [indeed], my Hawari is Az-Zubair [bin Al-'Awwam]. And Abu Na'im added in it: On the Day of Al-Ahzab, he (ﷺ) said: 'Who will bring us news about their party?' Az-Zubair said: 'I will.' He said it three times. Az-Zubair said (each time): 'I will.'

Narrated Hisham bin 'Urwah: On the Day of (the battle of) Al-Jamal, Az-Zubair echorted his son 'Abdullah, saying: 'There is not a part of me except that it has been injured while with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ),' until that ended with his private parts.

Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Abu Bakr is in Paradise, 'Umar is in Paradise, 'Uthman is in Paradise, 'Ali is in Paradise, Talhah is in Paradise, Az-Zubair is in Paradise, 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf is in Paradise, Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas is in Paradise, and Abu 'Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah is in Paradise.

Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin Humaid: from his father, that Sa'eed bin Zaid reported to him, while in a group of people, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Ten are in Paradise: Abu Bakr is in Paradise, 'Umar is in Paradise, 'Uthman is in Paradise, Az-Zubair and Talhah, 'Abdur-Rahman, Abu 'Ubaidah and Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas - He said: So he counted these nine and was silent concerning the tenth - so the people said: 'We implore you by Allah, O Abu Al-A'war, who is the tenth?' He said: 'You have implored me by Allah. Abu Al-A'war is in Paradise.'

Narrated Abu Salamah: from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say: Indeed your [feminine plural: referring to the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ)] affair is from that which concerns me after me, and none shall be able to be patient concerning you except the patient ones. He said: Then 'Aishah said: 'So may Allah give your father drink from the Salsabil of Paradise intending 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf (Abu Salamah is the son of 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf). And he had maintained ties with the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) with property that had been sold for forty-thousand.
