Translation

Arabic, english and urdu

Abu Sa'eed narrated that the Messenger of Allah said : Whoever is not grateful to the people, he is not grateful to Allah.

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى. ح وَحَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرُّوَاسِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ لَمْ يَشْكُرِ النَّاسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَمْ يَشْكُرِ اللَّهَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالنُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

ابو سعید خدری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس نے لوگوں کا شکر یہ ادا نہ کیا اس نے اللہ کا شکر ادا نہیں کیا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابوہریرہ، اشعث بن قیس اور نعمان بن بشیر رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔

Abu Dharr narrated that the Messenger of Allah said : Your smiling in the face of your brother is charity, commanding good and forbidding evil is charity, your giving directions to a man lost in the land is charity for you. Your seeing for a man with bad sight is a charity for you, your removal of a rock, a thorn or a bone from the road is charity for you. Your pouring what remains from your bucket into the bucket of your brother is charity for you.

Al-Bara bin Azib narrated that the Messenger of Allah said : Whoever gives someone some milk or silver, or guides him through a strait, then he will have the reward similar to freeing a slave.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said : When a man was walking on the road, he found a thorny branch and removed it. Allah appreciated his action by forgiving him.

Jabir bin Abdullah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said : When a man narrates a narration, then he looks around, then it is a trust.

Asma bint Abi Bakr said: O the Messenger of Allah! I have nothing except what was given to me by (my husband) Az-Zubair, shall I give it (in charity)?' It was said: Do not hold (your wealth) so that Allah will hold against you.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet said: Generosity is close to Allah, close to Paradise, close to the people and far from the Fire. Stinginess is far from Allah, far from Paradise, far from the people and close to the Fire. The ignorant generous person, is more beloved to Allah than the worshiping stingy person.
