Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said : When a man was walking on the road, he found a thorny branch and removed it. Allah appreciated his action by forgiving him.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَمْشِي فِي طَرِيقٍ إِذْ وَجَدَ غُصْنَ شَوْكٍ فَأَخَّرَهُ فَشَكَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ فَغَفَرَ لَهُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي ذَرٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ایک آدمی راستے پر چل رہا تھا کہ اسے ایک کانٹے دار ڈالی ملی، اس نے اسے راستے سے ہٹا دیا، اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس کے اس کام سے خوش ہو کر اس کو بدلہ دیا یعنی اس کی مغفرت فرما دی“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابوبرزہ، ابن عباس اور ابوذر رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔
