It was narrated that Anas said: The Prophet saw a man being supported by two others and said: 'What is this?' They said: 'He vowed to walk to the House of Allah.' He said: 'Allah has no need for this man to torture himself. Tell him to ride.'
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ رَأَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا يُهَادَى بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا هَذَا ؟ . قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ نَذَرَ أَنْ يَمْشِيَ إِلَى بَيْتِ اللَّهِ. قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنْ تَعْذِيبِ هَذَا نَفْسَهُ مُرْهُ فَلْيَرْكَبْ .
انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک شخص کو دیکھا کہ وہ دو آدمیوں کے بیچ میں ان کے کندھے پر ہاتھ رکھ کر چل رہا ہے، آپ نے فرمایا: یہ کیا ہے؟  لوگوں نے عرض کیا: اس نے نذر مانی ہے کہ وہ بیت اللہ تک پیدل چل کر جائے گا، آپ نے فرمایا:  اس طرح اپنی جان کو تکلیف دینے کی اللہ کو ضرورت نہیں، اس سے کہو کہ سوار ہو کر جائے  ۱؎۔

The Messenger of Allah said: If he had said: 'If Allah wills,' he would not have broken his vow, and this would have been a means to help him to get what he wanted.
