A similar tradition has also been narrated by Jabir bin Abd Allaah from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. But this version adds after the phrase “their due” And do not go beyond the destinations.

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَ هَذَا قَالَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏بَعْدَ قَوْلِهِ:‏‏‏‏ حَقَّهَا وَلَا تَعْدُوا الْمَنَازِلَ.

جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما نے بھی نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ایسی ہی روایت کی ہے، مگر اس میں آپ کے قول «فأعطوا الإبل حقها» کے بعد اتنا اضافہ ہے کہ منزلوں کے آگے نہ بڑھو ( تاکہ جانور کو تکلیف نہ ہو ) ۔

Narrated Buraydah ibn al-Hasib: While the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was walking a man who had an ass came to him and said: Messenger of Allah, ride; and the man moved to the back of the animal. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: No, you have more right to ride in front on your animal than me unless you grant that right to me. He said: I grant it to you. So he mounted.

Abu Dawud said: The tradition is not strong.

Abdullah bin Umar said “The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم held race between the horses which had been made lean by training from Al Hafya’. The goal was Thaniyyat Al Wada’ and he held a race between the horses Banu Zuraiq and Abd Allaah was one of the racers.
