Narrated `Abdullah: Allah's Apostle said, I saw (in a dream) the people assembled in a gathering, and then Abu Bakr got up and drew one or two buckets of water (from a well) but there was weakness in his drawing. May Allah forgive him. Then `Umar took the bucket and in his hands it turned into a very large bucket. I had never seen anyone amongst: the people who could draw the water as strongly as `Umar till all the people drank their fill and watered their camels that knelt down there.

حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ مُجْتَمِعِينَ فِي صَعِيدٍ فَقَامَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَنَزَعَ ذَنُوبًا أَوْ ذَنُوبَيْنِ وَفِي بَعْضِ نَزْعِهِ ضَعْفٌ وَاللَّهُ يَغْفِرُ لَهُ ثُمَّ أَخَذَهَا عُمَرُ فَاسْتَحَالَتْ بِيَدِهِ غَرْبًا فَلَمْ أَرَ عَبْقَرِيًّا فِي النَّاسِ يَفْرِي فَرِيَّهُ حَتَّى ضَرَبَ النَّاسُ بِعَطَنٍ ، وَقَالَ هَمَّامٌ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَزَعَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ذَنُوبًا أَوْ ذَنُوبَيْنِ .

مجھ سے عبدالرحمٰن بن ابی شیبہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبدالرحمٰن بن مغیرہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے ان کے والد نے، ان سے موسیٰ بن عقبہ نے، ان سے سالم بن عبداللہ نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”میں نے ( خواب میں ) دیکھا کہ لوگ ایک میدان میں جمع ہو رہے ہیں۔ ان میں سے ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ اٹھے اور ایک کنویں سے انہوں نے ایک یا دو ڈول پانی بھر کر نکالا، پانی نکالنے میں ان میں کچھ کمزوری معلوم ہوتی تھی اور اللہ ان کو بخشے۔ پھر وہ ڈول عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے سنبھالا۔ ان کے ہاتھ میں جاتے ہی وہ ایک بڑا ڈول ہو گیا میں نے لوگوں میں ان جیسا شہ زور پہلوان اور بہادر انسان ان کی طرح کام کرنے والا نہیں دیکھا ( انہوں نے اتنے ڈول کھینچے ) کہ لوگ اپنے اونٹوں کو بھی پلا پلا کر ان کے ٹھکانوں میں لے گئے۔ اور ہمام نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا وہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے واسطے سے بیان کر رہے تھے کہ ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے دو ڈول کھینچے۔

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: The Jews came to Allah's Apostle and told him that a man and a woman from amongst them had committed illegal sexual intercourse. Allah's Apostle said to them, What do you find in the Torah (old Testament) about the legal punishment of Ar-Rajm (stoning)? They replied, (But) we announce their crime and lash them. `Abdullah bin Salam said, You are telling a lie; Torah contains the order of Rajm. They brought and opened the Torah and one of them solaced his hand on the Verse of Rajm and read the verses preceding and following it. `Abdullah bin Salam said to him, Lift your hand. When he lifted his hand, the Verse of Rajm was written there. They said, Muhammad has told the truth; the Torah has the Verse of Rajm. The Prophet then gave the order that both of them should be stoned to death. (`Abdullah bin `Umar said, I saw the man leaning over the woman to shelter her from the stones.

Narrated `Abdullah bin Masud: During the lifetime of the Prophet the moon was split into two parts and on that the Prophet said, Bear witness (to thus).

Narrated Anas: That the Meccan people requested Allah's Apostle to show them a miracle, and so he showed them the splitting of the moon.

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The moon was split into two parts during the lifetime of the Prophet.

Narrated Anas: Once two men from the companions of Allah's Apostle went out of the house of the Prophet on a very dark night. They were accompanied by two things that resembled two lamps lighting the way in front of them, and when they parted, each of them was accompanied by one of those two things (lamps) till they reached their homes.

Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu`ba: The Prophet said, Some of my followers will remain victorious (and on the right path) till the Last Day comes, and they will still be victorious.
