Translation

Narrated Anas: That the Meccan people requested Allah's Apostle to show them a miracle, and so he showed them the splitting of the moon.

حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، ح وقَالَ لِي خَلِيفَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُمْ : أَنَّ أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ سَأَلُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُرِيَهُمْ آيَةً فَأَرَاهُمُ انْشِقَاقَ الْقَمَرِ .

مجھ سے عبداللہ بن محمد مسندی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یونس بن یزید نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شیبان نے بیان کیا، ان سے قتادہ نے اور ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے (دوسری سند) امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ نے کہا اور مجھ سے خلیفہ بن خیاط نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یزید بن زریع نے بیان کیا، ان سے سعید نے بیان کیا، ان سے قتادہ نے اور ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ مکہ والوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کہا تھا کہ انہیں کوئی معجزہ دکھائیں تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے شق قمر کا معجزہ یعنی چاند کا پھٹ جانا ان کو دکھایا۔

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The moon was split into two parts during the lifetime of the Prophet.

Narrated Anas: Once two men from the companions of Allah's Apostle went out of the house of the Prophet on a very dark night. They were accompanied by two things that resembled two lamps lighting the way in front of them, and when they parted, each of them was accompanied by one of those two things (lamps) till they reached their homes.

Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu`ba: The Prophet said, Some of my followers will remain victorious (and on the right path) till the Last Day comes, and they will still be victorious.

Narrated Muawiya: I heard the Prophet saying, A group of people amongst my followers will remain obedient to Allah's orders and they will not be harmed by anyone who will not help them or who will oppose them, till Allah's Order (the Last Day) comes upon them while they are still on the right path.

Narrated `Urwa: That the Prophet gave him one Dinar so as to buy a sheep for him. `Urwa bought two sheep for him with the money. Then he sold one of the sheep for one Dinar, and brought one Dinar and a sheep to the Prophet. On that, the Prophet invoked Allah to bless him in his deals. So `Urwa used to gain (from any deal) even if he bought dust.

(In another narration) `Urwa said, I heard Allah's Apostle saying, There is always goodness in horses till the Day of Resurrection. (The subnarrator added, I saw 70 horses in `Urwa's house.') (Sufyan said, The Prophet asked `Urwa to buy a sheep for him as a sacrifice. )
