Bilal bin Yahya Al-Absiy narrated that: Hudaifah (bin Al-Yaman) said: When I do not announce about me to anyone, indeed I fear that it would be An-Na'i, and I heard the Messenger of Allah prohibiting from An-Na'i.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ الْعَبْسِيُّ، عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْعَبْسِيِّ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا مِتُّ فَلَا تُؤْذِنُوا بِي إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يَكُونَ نَعْيًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّعْيِ . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

حذیفہ بن الیمان رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے کہا: جب میں مر جاؤں تو تم میرے مرنے کا اعلان مت کرنا۔ مجھے ڈر ہے کہ یہ بات «نعی» ہو گی۔ کیونکہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو «نعی» سے منع فرماتے سنا ہے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

Wash her with water and Sidr, and in the last (washing) add camphor, or something from camphor. When you are finished then inform me.' When we finished we informed him so he gave us his waist-sheet and said 'Wrap her in it.'
