Narrated Jabir: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) supplicated for forgiveness for me on the Night of the Camel, twenty-five times.

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اسْتَغْفَرَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ الْبَعِيرِ خَمْسًا وَعِشْرِينَ مَرَّةً . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ:‏‏‏‏ لَيْلَةَ الْبَعِيرِ مَا رُوِيَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ،‏‏‏‏ فَبَاعَ بَعِيرَهُ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ وَاشْتَرَطَ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ جَابِرٌ:‏‏‏‏ لَيْلَةَ بِعْتُ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْبَعِيرَ اسْتَغْفَرَ لِي خَمْسًا وَعِشْرِينَ مَرَّةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَانَ جَابِرٌ قَدْ قُتِلَ أَبُوهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَرَامٍ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَتَرَكَ بَنَاتٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَكَانَ جَابِرٌ يَعُولُهُنَّ وَيُنْفِقُ عَلَيْهِنَّ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبَرُّ جَابِرًا،‏‏‏‏ وَيَرْحَمُهُ لِسَبَبِ ذَلِكَ. هَكَذَا رُوِيَ فِي حَدِيثٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ نَحْوَ هَذَا.

جابر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے «ليلة البعير» ( اونٹ کی رات ) میں میرے لیے پچیس بار دعائے مغفرت کی۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح غریب ہے، ۲- ان کے قول «ليلة البعير» اونٹ کی رات سے وہ رات مراد ہے جو جابر سے کئی سندوں سے مروی ہے کہ وہ ایک سفر میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے، انہوں نے اپنا اونٹ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ہاتھ بیچ دیا اور مدینہ تک اس پر سوار ہو کر جانے کی شرط رکھ لی، جابر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں: جس رات میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ہاتھ اونٹ بیچا آپ نے پچیس بار میرے لیے دعائے مغفرت فرمائی۔ اور جابر کے والد عبداللہ بن عمرو بن حرام رضی الله عنہما احد کے دن شہید کر دیئے گئے تھے اور انہوں نے کچھ لڑکیاں چھوڑی تھیں، جابر ان کی پرورش کرتے تھے اور ان پر خرچ دیتے تھے، اس کی وجہ سے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان کے ساتھ حسن سلوک فرماتے تھے اور ان پر رحم کرتے تھے، ۳- اسی طرح ایک اور حدیث میں جابر سے ایسے ہی مروی ہے۔

Narrated Khabbab: We emigrated with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), seeking the Face of Allah. So our reward is with Allah. Among us were those who died and did not consume any of the rewards (in this life), and among us were those who lived to see its fruits and tend to them. Verily, Musab bin 'Umair died without leaving anything behind but a garment. When they covered his head with it, his feet would become exposed. And when they covered his feet with it, his head will become exposed. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Cover his head and place Al-Idhkir over his feet.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: How many are there with dishevelled hair, covered with dust, possessing two cloths, whom no one pays any mind to - if he swears by Allah then He shall fulfill it. Among them is Al-Bara bin Malik.

Narrated Abu Musa: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: O Abu Musa! You have been given a Mizmar among the Mazamir of the family of Dawud.

Narrated Sahl bin Sa'd: We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while he was excavating the trench, and we were transporting the soil. He passed by us and said: 'O Allah! There is no life but the life of the Hereafter! So forgive the Ansar and the Emigrants.'
