Narrated Anas bin Malik: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: How many are there with dishevelled hair, covered with dust, possessing two cloths, whom no one pays any mind to - if he swears by Allah then He shall fulfill it. Among them is Al-Bara bin Malik.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ كَمْ مِنْ أَشْعَثَ أَغْبَرَ ذِي طِمْرَيْنِ لَا يُؤْبَهُ لَهُ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ مِنْهُمْ الْبَرَاءُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ حَسَنٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

انس بن مالک رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کتنے پراگندہ بال غبار آلود اور پرانے کپڑے والے ہیں کہ جن کی کوئی پرواہ نہیں کرتا ایسے ہیں کہ اگر اللہ کے بھروسہ پر قسم کھا لیں تو اللہ ان کی قسم کو سچی کر دے ۱؎، انہیں میں سے براء بن مالک ہیں“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن غریب ہے۔

Narrated Sahl bin Sa'd: We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while he was excavating the trench, and we were transporting the soil. He passed by us and said: 'O Allah! There is no life but the life of the Hereafter! So forgive the Ansar and the Emigrants.'

Narrated Talhah bin Khirash: I heard Jabir bin 'Abdullah saying: 'I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying: The Fire shall not touch the Muslim who saw me, or saw one who saw me.
