Narrated Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said to 'Ali, You are to me, in the position that Harun was to Musa, [except that there is no Prophet after me].

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِعَلِيٍّ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْتَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى إِلَّا أَنَّهُ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَزَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ.

جابر بن عبداللہ رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے علی رضی الله عنہ سے فرمایا: ”تم میرے لیے ایسے ہی ہو جیسے ہارون موسیٰ کے لیے تھے، البتہ اتنی بات ضرور ہے کہ میرے بعد کوئی نبی نہیں“۔ ( اور ہارون علیہ السلام اللہ کے نبی تھے ) ۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن غریب ہے، ۲- اس باب میں سعد، زید بن ارقم، ابوہریرہ اور ام سلمہ رضی الله عنہم سے احادیث آئی ہیں۔

Narrated 'Ali bin Husain: from his father, from his grandfather, 'Ali bin Abi Talib: The Prophet (ﷺ) took Hasan and Husain by the hand and said: 'Whoever loves me and loves these two, and their father and mother, he shall be with me in my level on the Day of Judgement.
