Narrated A man from the Ansar: that Zaid bin Al-Arqam said: The first to accept Islam was 'Ali. 'Amr bin Murrah said: So I mentioned that to Ibrahim An-Nakha'i, so he rejected that and said: 'The first to accept Islam was Abu Bakr As-Siddiq.'

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى،‏‏‏‏ قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَال:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ، يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ أَوَّلُ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ عَلِيٌّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ:‏‏‏‏ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيِّ، فَأَنْكَرَهُ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَوَّلُ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَأَبُو حَمْزَةَ اسْمُهُ:‏‏‏‏ طَلْحَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ

زید بن ارقم رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ جس نے سب سے پہلے اسلام قبول کیا وہ علی رضی الله عنہ ہیں۔ عمرو بن مرہ کہتے ہیں: میں نے اسے ابراہیم نخعی سے ذکر کیا تو انہوں نے اس کا انکار کیا اور کہا: سب سے پہلے جس نے اسلام قبول کیا وہ ابوبکر صدیق رضی الله عنہ ہیں۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

Narrated 'Ali: The Prophet (ﷺ) - the Unlettered Prophet - exhorted me (saying): 'None loves you except a believer and none hates you except a hypocrite.' 'Adi bin Thabit (a narrator) said: I am from the generation whom the Prophet (ﷺ) supplicated for.

Narrated Umm 'Atiyyah: The Prophet (ﷺ) sent an army in which was 'Ali. She said: While he was raising his hands, I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: 'O Allah! Do not cause me to die until You allow me to see 'Ali.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Az-Zubair: that Az-Zubair said: On the Day of (the battle of) Uhud, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wore two coats of mail. He tried to get up on a boulder, but was not able to, so Talhah squatted under him, lifting the Prophet (ﷺ) upon it, such that he could sit on the boulder. So he said: 'It (Paradise) is obligatory for Talhah.'

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Whoever would be pleased to look at a martyr walking upon the face of the earth, then let him look at Talhah bin 'Ubaidullah.

Narrated 'Ali bin abi Talib: My ear heard from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), while he was saying: 'Talhah and Az-Zubair are my neighbors in Paradise.'

Narrated Musa bin Talhah: I entered upon Mu'awiyah and he said: 'Shall I not give you some good news?' I said: 'Of course!' He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: 'Talhah is among those fulfilled their vow (referring to 33:23).'
