Anas bin Malik narrated: Allah's Messenger used to mingle with us such that he said to my younger brother: 'O Abu Umair! What did the Nughair do?' He (Anas) said: A Bisat of ours would be sprinkled (with water) to perform Salat on.

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ الضُّبَعِيِّ، قَال:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُخَالِطُنَا حَتَّى إِنْ كَانَ يَقُولُ لِأَخٍ لِي صَغِيرٍ:‏‏‏‏ يَا أَبَا عُمَيْرٍ مَا فَعَلَ النُّغَيْرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَنُضِحَ بِسَاطٌ لَنَا فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ أَنَسٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ لَمْ يَرَوْا بِالصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْبِسَاطِ وَالطُّنْفُسَةِ بَأْسًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَبِهِ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ أَحْمَدُ،‏‏‏‏ وَإِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاسْمُ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ:‏‏‏‏ يَزِيدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ.

انس بن مالک رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہم سے گھل مل جایا کرتے تھے۔ یہاں تک کہ آپ میرے چھوٹے بھائی سے کہتے: ابوعمیر! «ما فعل النغير» ”بلبل کا کیا ہوا؟“ ہماری چٹائی ۱؎ پر چھڑکاؤ کیا گیا پھر آپ نے اس پر نماز پڑھی۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- انس کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابن عباس رضی الله عنہما سے بھی روایت ہے، ۳- صحابہ کرام اور ان کے بعد کے لوگوں میں سے اکثر اہل علم کا عمل اسی پر ہے۔ وہ چادر اور قالین پر نماز پڑھنے میں کوئی قباحت نہیں سمجھتے یہی احمد اور اسحاق بن راہویہ بھی کہتے ہیں۔

Mu'adh ibn Jabal narrated: The Prophet liked to perform Salat in Al-Hitan.

Muba bin Talhah narrated from his father (Talhah) that : Allah's Messenger said: When one of you placed something like the post (handle) of the camel saddle in front of him, then let him perform Salat and not concern himself with who passes beyond that.

Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhni sent a message to Abu Juhaim asking him what he had heard from Allah's Messenger about passing in front of a person who was performing Salat. Abu Juhaim said : that Allah's Messenger said: If the one who passed in front of the person performing Salat knew what he was doing, then for him to stop (and wait for forty) would be better for him than to pass in front of him.

Ibn Abbas narrated: I was a companion rider on a female donkey with Al-Fadl. We came while the Prophet and his Companions were performing Salat at Mina. He said: We dismounted from it and joined the row. The donkey then passed in front of them, and this did not invalidate their Salat.

Abu Dharr said that : Allah's Messenger said: When a man performs Salat, and there is nothing in front of him like the post of a saddle, or a camel saddle, then his Salat is severed by (passing of) a black dog, a woman, and a donkey. It was said to Abu Dharr: What is the problem with the black dog rather than the red or white one? He said: O my nephew! I asked Allah's Messenger just as you have asked me. He said: 'The black dog is a Shaitan (devil).'
