Abu Hurairah narrated that : Allah's Messenger said: One of you does not cease to be in Salat as long as he is waiting for it. And the angels do not cease praying for one of you as long as he remains in the Masjid (saying): 'Allah! Forgive him. O Allah! Have mercy upon him' - as long as he does not commit Hadath. A man from Hadramawt said: And just what is Hadath Abu Hurairah? He said: Breaking wind, or passing gas.

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا يَزَالُ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا دَامَ يَنْتَظِرُهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا تَزَالُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تُصَلِّي عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ مَا دَامَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْهُ مَا لَمْ يُحْدِثْ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ حَضْرَمَوْتَ:‏‏‏‏ وَمَا الْحَدَثُ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فُسَاءٌ أَوْ ضُرَاطٌ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَلِيٍّ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَنَسٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَسَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”آدمی برابر نماز ہی میں رہتا ہے جب تک وہ اس کا انتظار کرتا ہے اور فرشتے اس کے لیے برابر دعا کرتے رہتے ہیں جب تک وہ مسجد میں رہتا ہے، کہتے ہیں «اللهم اغفر له» ‏‏‏‏ ”اللہ! اسے بخش دے“ «اللهم ارحمه» ”اے اللہ! اس پر رحم فرما“ جب تک وہ «حدث» نہیں کرتا“، تو حضر موت کے ایک شخص نے پوچھا: «حدث» کیا ہے ابوہریرہ؟ تو ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ نے کہا: آہستہ سے یا زور سے ہوا خارج کرنا ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابوہریرہ کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں علی، ابوسعید، انس، عبداللہ بن مسعود اور سہل بن سعد رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔

Anas bin Malik narrated: Allah's Messenger used to mingle with us such that he said to my younger brother: 'O Abu Umair! What did the Nughair do?' He (Anas) said: A Bisat of ours would be sprinkled (with water) to perform Salat on.

Muba bin Talhah narrated from his father (Talhah) that : Allah's Messenger said: When one of you placed something like the post (handle) of the camel saddle in front of him, then let him perform Salat and not concern himself with who passes beyond that.

Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhni sent a message to Abu Juhaim asking him what he had heard from Allah's Messenger about passing in front of a person who was performing Salat. Abu Juhaim said : that Allah's Messenger said: If the one who passed in front of the person performing Salat knew what he was doing, then for him to stop (and wait for forty) would be better for him than to pass in front of him.
