Ibn Abbas narrated: Allah's Messenger performed Salat on a Khumrah.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْخُمْرَةِ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَيْمُونَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَسَدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَبِهِ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وقَالَ أَحْمَدُ،‏‏‏‏ وَإِسْحَاق:‏‏‏‏ قَدْ ثَبَتَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الصَّلَاةُ عَلَى الْخُمْرَةِ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَالْخُمْرَةُ هُوَ:‏‏‏‏ حَصِيرٌ قَصِيرٌ.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم «خمرہ» ”چھوٹی چٹائی“ پر نماز پڑھتے تھے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابن عباس رضی الله عنہما کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ام حبیبہ، ابن عمر، ام سلیم، عائشہ، میمونہ، ام کلثوم بنت ابی سلمہ بن عبدالاسد ( ام کلثوم بنت ابی سلمہ نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے نہیں سنا ہے ) اور ام سلمہ رضی الله عنہم سے احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- بعض اہل علم کا یہی خیال ہے، احمد اور اسحاق بن راہویہ بھی یہی کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے «خمرہ» پر نماز ثابت ہے، ۴- «خمرہ» چھوٹی چٹائی کو کہتے ہیں۔

Abu Sa'eed narrated: The Prophet performed Salat on a Hasir.

Anas bin Malik narrated: Allah's Messenger used to mingle with us such that he said to my younger brother: 'O Abu Umair! What did the Nughair do?' He (Anas) said: A Bisat of ours would be sprinkled (with water) to perform Salat on.

Mu'adh ibn Jabal narrated: The Prophet liked to perform Salat in Al-Hitan.

Muba bin Talhah narrated from his father (Talhah) that : Allah's Messenger said: When one of you placed something like the post (handle) of the camel saddle in front of him, then let him perform Salat and not concern himself with who passes beyond that.

Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhni sent a message to Abu Juhaim asking him what he had heard from Allah's Messenger about passing in front of a person who was performing Salat. Abu Juhaim said : that Allah's Messenger said: If the one who passed in front of the person performing Salat knew what he was doing, then for him to stop (and wait for forty) would be better for him than to pass in front of him.

Ibn Abbas narrated: I was a companion rider on a female donkey with Al-Fadl. We came while the Prophet and his Companions were performing Salat at Mina. He said: We dismounted from it and joined the row. The donkey then passed in front of them, and this did not invalidate their Salat.
