Narrated The freed slave of Asma: from Ibn 'Umar who said: I heard 'Umar mentioning that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever wears silk in the world he shall not wear it in the Hereafter.'

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَزْرَقُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي مَوْلَى أَسْمَاءَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَال:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ يَذْكُرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ لَبِسَ الْحَرِيرَ فِي الدُّنْيَا لَمْ يَلْبَسْهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي الْبَابِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحُذَيْفَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَغَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ ذَكَرْنَاهُ فِي كِتَابِ اللِّبَاسِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَوْلَى أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ اسْمُهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَيُكْنَى أَبَا عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے عمر رضی الله عنہ کو یہ ذکر کرتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس نے دنیا میں «حریر» ( ریشمی کپڑا ) پہنا تو وہ اسے آخرت ( یعنی جنت ) میں نہ پہنے گا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- یہ حدیث کئی سندوں سے اسماء بنت ابی بکر کے آزاد کردہ غلام ابوعمرو سے مروی ہے۔ ان کا نام عبداللہ اور ان کی کنیت ابوعمرو ہے، ان سے عطاء بن ابی رباح اور عمرو بن دینار نے روایت کی ہے، ۳- اس باب میں علی، حذیفہ، انس رضی الله عنہم اور دیگر کئی لوگوں سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، جن کا ذکر ہم کتاب اللباس میں کر چکے ہیں۔

Narrated Al-Miswar bin Makhramah: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) distributed some cloaks but he did not give anything to Makhramah. Makhramah said: 'O my son! Let us go to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).' So I went with him. He said: 'Enter and call him for me.'So I called the Prophet (ﷺ) for him, then the Prophet (ﷺ) came out wearing one of the cloaks. He (ﷺ) said: 'I kept this one for you.' He said: So he looked at him and said: 'Makhramah is pleased.'

Narrated 'Amr bin Shu'aib: from his father, from his grandfather who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Indeed Allah loves to see the results of his favors upon His Slaves.'

Narrated Ibn Buraidah: from his father: An-Najashi gave the Prophet (ﷺ) two black plain Khuff. So he wore them, then he performed Wudu and wiped over them.
