Narrated Ibn Buraidah: from his father: An-Najashi gave the Prophet (ﷺ) two black plain Khuff. So he wore them, then he performed Wudu and wiped over them.

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ دَلْهَمِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ حُجَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ النَّجَاشِيَّ أَهْدَى إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خُفَّيْنِ أَسْوَدَيْنِ سَاذَجَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَبِسَهُمَا ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَيْهِمَا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّمَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ دَلْهَمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ دَلْهَمٍ.

بریدہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نجاشی ( شاہ حبشہ ) نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دو کالے رنگ کے موزے بھیجے، آپ نے انہیں پہنا، پھر آپ نے وضو کیا اور ان دونوں موزوں پر مسح فرمایا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن ہے، ۲- ہم اسے صرف دلہم کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں، ۳- محمد بن ربیعہ نے دلہم ( راوی ) سے روایت کی ہے۔

Narrated Isma'il bin Abi Khalid: that Abu Juhaifah said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) (he was) white and turning grey. Al-Hasan bin 'Ali resembles him most. He had promised thirteen young she-camels for us, so we went to get them. When we arrived he had died without giving us anything. So when Abu Bakr (became the Khalifah) he said: 'If there is anyone to whom the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) made a promise, then let him come forth.' I stood to inform him about it, and he ordered that they be given to us.
