It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that : 'Umar bin Khattab said to the Messenger of Allah: can anyone of us sleep if he is sexually impure? He said: Yes, if he performs ablution.

حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَر، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّعُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَيَرْقُدُ أَحَدُنَا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ .

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا: کیا کوئی شخص حالت جنابت میں سو سکتا ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ہاں، جب وضو کر لے ۔

It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed Khudri that: He used to become sexually impure at night, then he would want to sleep. The Messenger of Allah told him to perform ablution and then go to sleep.
