Translation

Arabic, english and urdu

It was narrated from Abu Al-Ahwas, from his father, : That he came to the Prophet [SAW] wearing shabby clothes. The Prophet [SAW] said to him: Do you have any wealth? He said: Yes, all kinds of wealth. He said: What kinds of wealth? He said: Allah has given me camels, cattle, sheep, horses and slaves. He said: If Allah has given you wealth, then let the effect of Allah's blessing and generosity be seen on you.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ثَوْبٍ دُونٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَلَكَ مَالٌ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مِنْ كُلِّ الْمَالِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مِنْ أَيِّ الْمَالِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَدْ آتَانِي اللَّهُ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْغَنَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْخَيْلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالرَّقِيقِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَإِذَا آتَاكَ اللَّهُ مَالًا فَلْيُرَ عَلَيْكَ أَثَرُ نِعْمَةِ اللَّهِ وَكَرَامَتِهِ .

ابوالاحوص کے والد مالک بن نضلہ جشمی رضی اللہ عنہ روایت کرتے ہیں کہ وہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس گھٹیا کپڑے پہن کر آئے۔ تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”کیا تمہارے پاس مال و دولت ہے؟“ وہ بولے: جی ہاں، سب کچھ ہے۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”کس طرح کا مال ہے؟“ وہ بولے: اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجھے اونٹ، بکریاں، گھوڑے اور غلام عطا کئے ہیں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”جب اللہ تعالیٰ نے تمہیں مال و دولت سے نوازا ہے تو اللہ تعالیٰ کی نعمت اور اس کے فضل کے تم پر آثار بھی دکھائی دینے چاہیئے“۔

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said to me: 'Five things are from the Fitrah: Trimming the mustache, plucking the armpit hairs, clipping the nails, shaving the pubes and circumcision.'

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that: The Prophet [SAW] said: Trim the mustache and let the beard grow.

It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Ja'far said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] stayed away from the family of Ja'far (when he died) for three days, then he came to them, and said: 'Do not weep for my brother after today.' Then he said: 'Call my brother's sons to me.' We were brought like little chicks, and he said: 'Call the barber for me.' Then he ordered that our heads be shaved.
