It was narrated that Abu Tha'labah said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'Wealth taken by force is (not permissible), any predator that has fangs is not permissible, and any animal used for target practice is not permissible.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ بَحِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تَحِلُّ النُّهْبَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا يَحِلُّ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ كُلُّ ذِي نَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا تَحِلُّ الْمُجَثَّمَةُ .

ابوثعلبہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”لوٹا ہوا مال حلال نہیں، دانت ( سے پھاڑنے ) والا درندہ حلال نہیں، اور «مجثمہ» حلال نہیں“ ۱؎۔
