It was narrated from Abu Qatadah bin Raib'i that he used to narrate: A funeral passed by the Messenger of Allah and he said: 'He is relieved and others are relieved of him.' They said: 'What does relieved mean and what does relieved of him mean: He said: The believing slave is relieved of the hardships and troubles of this world, and the people, the land, the trees and the animals are relieved of the immoral slave. '

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَلْحَلَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ بْنِ رِبْعِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُرَّ عَلَيْهِ بِجَنَازَةٍ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مُسْتَرِيحٌ وَمُسْتَرَاحٌ مِنْهُ ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ مَا الْمُسْتَرِيحُ وَمَا الْمُسْتَرَاحُ مِنْهُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْعَبْدُ الْمُؤْمِنُ يَسْتَرِيحُ مِنْ نَصَبِ الدُّنْيَا وَأَذَاهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَبْدُ الْفَاجِرُ يَسْتَرِيحُ مِنْهُ الْعِبَادُ وَالْبِلَادُ وَالشَّجَرُ وَالدَّوَابُّ .

ابوقتادہ بن ربعی رضی الله عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس سے ایک جنازہ لے جایا گیا، تو آپ نے فرمایا: ( یہ ) «مستریح» ہے یا «مستراح منہ» ہے، تو لوگوں نے پوچھا: «مستریح» اور «مستراح منہ» سے کیا مراد ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”بندہ مومن ( موت کے بعد ) دنیا کی بلا اور تکلیف سے راحت پا لیتا ہے، اور فاجر ۱؎ بندہ مرتا ہے تو اس سے اللہ کے بندے، بستیاں، پیڑ پودے، اور چوپائے ( سب ) راحت پا لیتے ہیں“۔

When the believer dies he is relieved of the calamities, hardships and troubles of this world, and when the evildoer dies, the people, the land, the trees and the animals are relieved of him. '

' He said: Whoever is praised will be granted Paradise, and whoever is criticized will be granted Hell, You are the witnesses of Allah on Earth.

He said: 'I said what the Messenger of Allah said: Any Muslim for whom four people bear witness and say good things, Allah will admit him to Paradise.' We said: 'Or three?' He said: 'Or three.' We said: 'Or two?' He said: 'Or two. '
