It was narrated from Aishah that: The Prophet (ﷺ) would not omit four rak'ahs before Zuhr and two rak'ahs before Fajr.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْمَسْرُوقٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ لَا يَدَعُ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ ،‏‏‏‏ خَالَفَهُ عَامَّةُ أَصْحَابِ شُعْبَةَ مِمَّنْ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا مَسْرُوقًا.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہم سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ظہر سے پہلے کی چار رکعتیں اور فجر سے پہلے کی دو رکعتیں نہیں چھوڑتے تھے۔ شعبہ کے جن تلامذہ نے اس حدیث کو روایت کیا ہے ان میں سے اکثر نے عثمان بن عمر کی مخالفت کی ہے، ان لوگوں نے مسروق کا ذکر نہیں کیا ہے۔

It was narrated from Ibrahim bin Muhammad that: He heard his father narrating that he heard Aishah say: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would not omit four rak'ahs before Zuhr and two rak'ahs before Fajr.
