It was narrated that Ibn Umar said: Hafsah told me that when dawn glowed, the Prophet (ﷺ) would pray two rak'ahs.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَالِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أَضَاءَ لَهُ الْفَجْرُ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ .

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہم کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے ام المؤمنین حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے خبر دی ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب فجر روشن ہو جاتی تو دو رکعتیں پڑھتے۔
