It was narrated from Ibn Abdur-Rahman bin Abza from his father that: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High;' and Say: O you disbelievers!'; and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One. And after he had said the salam, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy).
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَزْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْسَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى و يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ و هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ،‏‏‏‏ أَرْسَلَهُ هِشَامٌ،‏‏‏‏
عبدالرحمٰن بن ابزیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم وتر میں «سبح اسم ربك الأعلى»، «قل يا أيها الكافرون» اور «قل هو اللہ أحد» پڑھتے تھے، اور جب فارغ ہوتے تو «سبحان الملك القدوس» کہتے۔ ہشام نے اسے مرسلاً روایت کیا، ان کی روایت آگے آ رہی ہے ۱؎۔

Abu Salamah bin Abdur-Rahman narrated that : He asked Aishah about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) at night. She said: He used to pray thirteen rak'ahs: nine rak'ahs standing, one of which was witr, and two rak'ahs sitting. When he wanted to bow he would stand up, and bow and prostrate, and he did that after witr. Then when he heard the call for Subh, he stood up and prayed two brief rak'ahs.
