Abdullah bin Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم saw some people (performing ablution) while their heels were dry. He then said: Woe to the heels because of Hell. Perform the ablution in full
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَن رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى قَوْمًا وَأَعْقَابُهُمْ تَلُوحُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ .
عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک قوم کو اس حال میں دیکھا کہ وضو کرنے میں ان کی ایڑیاں ( پانی نہ پہنچنے کی وجہ سے ) خشک تھیں تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ایڑیوں کو بھگونے میں کوتاہی کرنے والوں کے لیے جہنم کی آگ سے تباہی ہے وضو پوری طرح سے کرو ۱؎ ۔
