Narrated Umm Atiyyah al-Ansariyyah: A woman used to perform circumcision in Madina. The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said to her: Do not cut severely as that is better for a woman and more desirable for a husband. Abu Dawud said: It has been transmitted by Ubaid Allah bin Amr from Abd al-Malik to the same effect through a different chain. Abu Dawud said: It is not a strong tradition. It has been transmitted in mursal form (missing the link of the Companions) Abu Dawud said: Muhammad bin Hasan is obscure, and this tradition is weak.
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَامُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الْكُوفِيُّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةِ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً كَانَتْ تَخْتِنُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تُنْهِكِي،‏‏‏‏ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ أَحْظَى لِلْمَرْأَةِ وَأَحَبُّ إِلَى الْبَعْلِ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أبو داود:‏‏‏‏ رُوِيَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بِمَعْنَاهُ وَإِسْنَادِهِ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أبو داود:‏‏‏‏ لَيْسَ هُوَ بِالْقَوِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مُرْسَلًا،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أبو داود:‏‏‏‏ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ مَجْهُولٌ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ ضَعِيفٌ.
ام عطیہ انصاریہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ   مدینہ میں ایک عورت عورتوں کا ختنہ کیا کرتی تھی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سے فرمایا: نیچا کر ختنہ مت کرو بہت نیچے سے مت کاٹو کیونکہ یہ عورت کے لیے زیادہ لطف و لذت کی چیز ہے اور شوہر کے لیے زیادہ پسندیدہ ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: یہ عبیداللہ بن عمرو سے مروی ہے انہوں نے عبدالملک سے اسی سند سے اسی مفہوم کی حدیث روایت کی ہے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث قوی نہیں ہے، وہ مرسلاً بھی روایت کی گئی ہے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: محمد بن حسان مجہول ہیں اور یہ حدیث ضعیف ہے۔

Narrated Abu Usayd al-Ansari: Abu Usayd heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say when he was coming out of the mosque, and men and women were mingled in the road: Draw back, for you must not walk in the middle of the road; keep to the sides of the road. Then women were keeping so close to the wall that their garments were rubbing against it.
