Narrated Abu Usayd al-Ansari: Abu Usayd heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say when he was coming out of the mosque, and men and women were mingled in the road: Draw back, for you must not walk in the middle of the road; keep to the sides of the road. Then women were keeping so close to the wall that their garments were rubbing against it.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْيَمَانِ، عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرِو بْنِ حِمَاسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ خَارِجٌ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ فَاخْتَلَطَ الرِّجَالُ مَعَ النِّسَاءِ فِي الطَّرِيقِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلنِّسَاءِ: اسْتَأْخِرْنَ، فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَكُنَّ أَنْ تَحْقُقْنَ الطَّرِيقَ، عَلَيْكُنَّ بِحَافَّاتِ الطَّرِيقِ، فَكَانَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ تَلْتَصِقُ بِالْجِدَارِ حَتَّى إِنَّ ثَوْبَهَا لَيَتَعَلَّقُ بِالْجِدَارِ مِنْ لُصُوقِهَا بِهِ .
ابواسید انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اس وقت فرماتے ہوئے سنا جب آپ مسجد سے باہر نکل رہے تھے اور لوگ راستے میں عورتوں میں مل جل گئے تھے، تو رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عورتوں سے فرمایا: تم پیچھے ہٹ جاؤ، تمہارے لیے راستے کے درمیان سے چلنا ٹھیک نہیں، تمہارے لیے راستے کے کنارے کنارے چلنا مناسب ہے پھر تو ایسا ہو گیا کہ عورتیں دیوار سے چپک کر چلنے لگیں، یہاں تک کہ ان کے کپڑے ( دوپٹے وغیرہ ) دیوار میں پھنس جاتے تھے۔
