Narrated Abu Dharr: Ayyub ibn Bushayr ibn Kab al-Adawi quoted a man of Anazah who said that he asked Abu Dharr when he left Syria: I wish to ask you about a tradition of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. He said: I shall tell you except that it is something secret. Did the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم shake hands with you when you met him? He replied: I never met him without his shaking hands with me. One day he sent for me when I was not at home. When I came I was informed that he had sent for me. I came to him and found him on a couch. He embraced me and that was better and better.

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ،‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ يَعْنِي خَالِدَ بْنَ ذَكْوَانَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ بُشَيْرِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ الْعَدَوِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ عَنَزَةَ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِأَبِي ذَرٍّ:‏‏‏‏ حَيْثُ سُيِّرَ مِنْ الشَّامِ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ عَنْ حَدِيثٍ مِنْ حَدِيثِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذًا أُخْبِرُكَ بِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ سِرًّا،‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِسِرٍّ،‏‏‏‏ هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَافِحُكُمْ إِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا لَقِيتُهُ قَطُّ إِلَّا صَافَحَنِي،‏‏‏‏ وَبَعَثَ إِلَيَّ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَلَمْ أَكُنْ فِي أَهْلِي،‏‏‏‏ فَلَمَّا جِئْتُ،‏‏‏‏ أُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّهُ أَرْسَلَ لِي،‏‏‏‏ فَأَتَيْتُهُ وَهُوَ عَلَى سَرِيرِهِ،‏‏‏‏ فَالْتَزَمَنِي،‏‏‏‏ فَكَانَتْ تِلْكَ أَجْوَدَ وَأَجْوَدَ .

قبیلہ عنزہ کے ایک شخص سے روایت ہے کہ اس نے ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ سے جب وہ شام سے واپس لائے گئے کہا: میں آپ سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی ایک حدیث پوچھنا چاہتا ہوں، انہوں نے کہا: اگر راز کی بات نہ ہوئی تو میں تمہیں ضرور بتاؤں گا، میں نے کہا: وہ راز کی بات نہیں ہے ( پوچھنا یہ ہے ) کہ جب آپ لوگ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ملتے تھے تو کیا وہ آپ سے مصافحہ کرتے تھے؟ انہوں نے کہا: میری تو جب بھی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ملاقات ہوئی آپ نے مجھ سے مصافحہ ہی فرمایا، اور ایک دن تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے بلا بھیجا، میں گھر پر موجود نہ تھا، پھر جب میں آیا تو مجھے اطلاع دی گئی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے بلا بھیجا تھا تو میں آپ کے پاس آیا اس وقت آپ اپنی چارپائی پر تشریف فرما تھے، تو آپ نے مجھے چمٹا لیا، یہ بہت اچھا اور بہت عمدہ ( طریقہ ) ہے۔

Abu Saeed Al-Khudri said: When Banu Quraizah capitulated agreeing to accept Saad’s judgement, the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم sent a messenger to him. When he came riding on a white ass, the prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: stand up to (show respect to) your chief, or he said: “to the best of you”. He came and sat beside the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم.

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Shubah through a different chain of narrators. This version has: when he came near the mosque, he said to the Ansar; stand up showing respect to your chief.

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: I never saw anyone more like the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم in respect of gravity, calm deportment, pleasant disposition - according to al-Hasan's version: in respect of talk and speech. Al-Hasan did not mention gravity, calm deportment, pleasant disposition - than Fatimah, may Allah honour her face. When she came to visit him (the Prophet) he got up to (welcome) her, took her by the hand, kissed her and made her sit where he was sitting; and when he went to visit her, she got up to (welcome) him, took him by the hand, kissed him, and made him sit where she was sitting.

Abu Hurairah said; Al-Aqra bin Habib saw that the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was kissing Husain. He said: I have ten children and I have never kissed any of them. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: He who does not show tenderness will not be shown tenderness.

Aishah said: the prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said; Good tidings to you, Aishah, for Allah Most High has revealed your innocence. He then recited to her the Quranic verses. Her parents said: Kiss the head of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. I said: Praise be to Allah, most High, not to you.
