Jubair bin Mutim reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: he who summons others to party-spirit does not belong to us; and he who dies upholding party spirit does not belong to us. ’

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ السَّرْحِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَكِّيِّ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي لَبِيبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ دَعَا إِلَى عَصَبِيَّةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ قَاتَلَ عَلَى عَصَبِيَّةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى عَصَبِيَّةٍ .

جبیر بن مطعم رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: وہ شخص ہم میں سے نہیں جو کسی عصبیت کی طرف بلائے، وہ شخص بھی ہم میں سے نہیں جو عصبیت کی بنیاد پر لڑائی لڑے، اور وہ شخص بھی ہم میں سے نہیں جو تعصب کا تصور لیے ہوئے مرے ۔

Narrated Abu Uqbah: Abdur Rahman ibn Abu Uqbah quoted his father Abu Uqbah who was a client from the people of Persia as saying: I was present at Uhud along with the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, and on smiting one of the polytheists I said: Take this from me who is the young Persian. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم then turned to me and said: Why did you not say: Take this from me who is the young Ansari?

Narrated Al-Miqdam ibn Madikarib: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: When a man loves his brother, he should tell him that he loves him.

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: A man was with the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and a man passed by him and said: Messenger of Allah! I love this man. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم then asked: Have you informed him? He replied: No. He said: Inform him. He then went to him and said: I love you for Allah's sake. He replied: May He for Whose sake you love me love you!

Abdullah bin al-samit told that Abu Dharr said: Messenger of Allah! A man loves some people, but he cannot do work like their work. He replied; Yes, Abu Dharr, will be with those whom you love. Abu Dharr then repeated it. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم also repeated it.

Anas bin Malik said: I never saw the Companions of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم so happy about anything as I saw them happy about this thing. A man said: Messenger of Allah! A man loves another man for the good work which he does, but he himself cannot do like it. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: A man will be with those whom he loves.
