Abu al-Darda reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: when a man cures anything, the curse goes up to heaven and the gates of heaven are locked against it. Then it comes down to the earth and its gates are locked against it. Then it goes right and left, and if it finds no place of entrance it returns to the thing which was cursed, and if it finds no place of entrance it returns to the thing which was cursed, and if it deserves what was said (it enters it), otherwise it returns to the one who uttered it. Abu Dawud said: Marwan bin Muhammad said: He is Rabah bin al-Walid who heard from him (nimran). He (Marwan bin Muhammad) said: Yahya bin Hussain was confused in it.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ رَبَاحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ نِمْرَانَ يَذْكُرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إِذَا لَعَنَ شَيْئًا صَعِدَتِ اللَّعْنَةُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَتُغْلَقُ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ دُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَهْبِطُ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ فَتُغْلَقُ أَبْوَابُهَا دُونَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ تَأْخُذُ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا فَإِذَا لَمْ تَجِدْ مَسَاغًا رَجَعَتْ إِلَى الَّذِي لُعِنَ فَإِنْ كَانَ لِذَلِكَ أَهْلًا وَإِلَّا رَجَعَتْ إِلَى قَائِلِهَا ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ:‏‏‏‏ هُوَ رَبَاحُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ سَمِعَ مِنْهُ وَذَكَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ يَحْيَى بْنَ حَسَّانَ وَهِمَ فِيهِ.

ام الدرداء رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ میں نے ابو الدرداء کو کہتے ہوئے سنا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: بندہ جب کسی چیز پر لعنت کرتا ہے، تو یہ لعنت آسمان پر چڑھتی ہے، تو آسمان کے دروازے اس کے سامنے بند ہو جاتے ہیں پھر وہ اتر کر زمین پر آتی ہے، تو اس کے دروازے بھی بند ہو جاتے ہیں پھر وہ دائیں بائیں گھومتی ہے، پھر جب اسے کوئی راستہ نہیں ملتا تو وہ اس کی طرف پلٹ آتی ہے جس پر لعنت کی گئی تھی، اب اگر وہ اس کا مستحق ہوتا ہے تو ٹھیک ہے، ورنہ وہ کہنے والے کی طرف ہی پلٹ آتی ہے۔

Narrated Samurah ibn Jundub: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Do not invoke Allah's curse, Allah's anger, or Hell.

Abu al-Darda said: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say: Men given to cursing will not be witnesses or intercessors.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: A man cursed the wind. The narrator Muslim's version has: The wind snatched away a man's cloak during the time of the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and he cursed it. The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Do not curse it, for it is under command, and if anyone curses a thing undeservedly, the curse returns upon him.

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: Something of her was stolen, and she began to curse him (i. e. the thief). The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said to her: Do not lessen his sin.

Anas bin Malik reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: Do not hate each other ; do not envy each other; do not desert each other; and be the servants of Allah as brethren. It is not allowable for a Muslim to keep apart from his brother for more than three days.

Abu Ayyub al-Ansari reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: it is not allowable for a Muslim to keep apart from his brother for more than three days. When they meet, this turns away from him, and that turns away from him. The better of the two is the one who initiates in salutation.
