Ibn Umar said The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to enter Makkah from the upper hillock. The version of Yahya goes: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to enter Makkah from Kuda’ from the hillock of Batha’. He would come out from the lower hillock. Al Barmaki added “that is the two hillocks of Makkah”. The version of Musaddad is more complete.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْبَرْمَكِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مَعِنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ. ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَحْيَى. ح وحَدَّثَنَاعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ جَمِيعًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَدْخُلُ مَكَّةَ مِنْ الثَّنِيَّةِ الْعُلْيَا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ عَنْ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَدْخُلُ مَكَّةَ مِنْ كَدَاءَ مِنْ ثَنِيَّةِ الْبَطْحَاءِ وَيَخْرُجُ مِنْ الثَّنِيَّةِ السُّفْلَى ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏زَادَ الْبَرْمَكِيُّ:‏‏‏‏ يَعْنِي ثَنِيَّتَيْ مَكَّةَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَدِيثُ مُسَدَّدٍ أَتَمُّ.
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مکہ میں ثنیہ علیا ( بلند گھاٹی ) سے داخل ہوتے، ( یحییٰ کی روایت میں اس طرح ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مکہ میں ثنیہ بطحاء کی جانب سے مقام کداء سے داخل ہوتے ) اور ثنیہ سفلی ( نشیبی گھاٹی ) سے نکلتے۔ برمکی کی روایت میں اتنا زائد ہے یہ مکہ کی دو گھاٹیاں ہیں اور مسدد کی حدیث زیادہ کامل ہے۔

Aishah said The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم entered Makkah from the side of Kuda’ the upper end of Makkah in the year of conquest (of Makkah) and he entered from the side of Kida’ when he performed ‘Umrah. Urwah used to enter (Makkah) from both sides, but he often entered from the side of Kuda’ as it was nearer to his house.

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: was asked about a man who looks at the House (the Kabah) and raises his hands (for prayer). He replied: I did not find anyone doing this except the Jews. We performed hajj along with the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, but he did not do so.

He then went to as-Safa and mounted it so that he could look at the House. Then he raised his hands began to make mention of Allah as much as he wished and make supplication. The narrator said: The Ansar were beneath him. The narrator Hashim said: He prayed and praised Allah and asked Him for what he wished to ask.
