Nafi said It was Ibn Umar’s habit that whenever he came to Makkah he spent the night at Dhu Tuwa in the morning he would take a bath and enter Makkah in the daytime. He used to say the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم had done so.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ إِذَا قَدِمَ مَكَّةَ بَاتَ بِذِي طَوًى حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ وَيَغْتَسِلَ ثُمَّ يَدْخُلَ مَكَّةَ نَهَارًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَذْكُرُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ فَعَلَهُ.
نافع سے روایت ہے کہ   ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما جب مکہ آتے تو ذی طویٰ میں رات گزارتے یہاں تک کہ صبح کرتے اور غسل فرماتے، پھر دن میں مکہ میں داخل ہوتے اور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے بارے میں بتاتے کہ آپ نے ایسے ہی کیا ہے ۱؎۔

Ibn Umar said The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to enter Makkah from the upper hillock. The version of Yahya goes: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to enter Makkah from Kuda’ from the hillock of Batha’. He would come out from the lower hillock. Al Barmaki added “that is the two hillocks of Makkah”. The version of Musaddad is more complete.

Aishah said The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم entered Makkah from the side of Kuda’ the upper end of Makkah in the year of conquest (of Makkah) and he entered from the side of Kida’ when he performed ‘Umrah. Urwah used to enter (Makkah) from both sides, but he often entered from the side of Kuda’ as it was nearer to his house.

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: was asked about a man who looks at the House (the Kabah) and raises his hands (for prayer). He replied: I did not find anyone doing this except the Jews. We performed hajj along with the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, but he did not do so.
