Anas reported: The Apostle of Allah (may peace he upon him) came to Medina when I was ten years old and he died when I was twenty years old. My mother exhorted me to serve him. He (the Holy Prophet) came to our house, and we ruined a flabby goat for him and mixed it (the milk) with water from the well of the house. Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) drank that. Umar and Abu Bakr on his left side said to him: Allah's Messenger, give it to Abu Bakr, but he (the Holy Prophet) gave it to the desert Arab who was on his right. Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: He who is on the right, then he who is on the right.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِزُهَيْرٍ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَأَنَا ابْنُ عَشْرٍ وَمَاتَ وَأَنَا ابْنُ عِشْرِينَ وَكُنَّ أُمَّهَاتِي يَحْثُثْنَنِي عَلَى خِدْمَتِهِ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا دَارَنَا فَحَلَبْنَا لَهُ مِنْ شَاةٍ دَاجِنٍ وَشِيبَ لَهُ مِنْ بِئْرٍ فِي الدَّارِ فَشَرِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَعْطِ أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَأَعْطَاهُ أَعْرَابِيًّا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَيْمَنَ فَالْأَيْمَنَ

سفیان بن عینیہ نے زہری سے ، انھوں نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مدینہ میں تشریف لائے تو میں دس برس کا تھا ۔ اور جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی وفات ہوئی تو میں بیس سال کا تھا ۔ میری مائیں ( والدہ ، خالائیں ، پھوپھیاں ) مسلسل مجھے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت کرنے کا شوق دلایاکرتی تھیں ۔ ایک مرتبہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے گھر تشریف لائے ، ہم نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لئے پالتو بکری کا دودھ دوہا اور اس میں گھر کے کنوئے کا پانی ملایاگیا ۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے نوش فرمایا توحضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے عرض کی ۔ اور اس وقت ابو بکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بائیں جانب تھے ۔ اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم !ابو بکر کو عنایت فرمادیجئے ، لیکن آپ نے وہ ( دودھ کا برتن ) اپنی دائیں جانب ( بیٹھے ہوئے ) بدو کو تھمادیا اور فرمایا؛ " دایاں ، پھر ( اس کےبعد والا ) دایاں ۔ "

Anas b. Malik reported: Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) came to our house and he asked for a drink. We milked a goat for him and then mixed it (the milk) with the water of this well of mine. I gave it to Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) and he drank it, while Abu Bakr was on his left and 'Umar was in front of him, and a desert Arab was on his right. When Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) had finished the drink, Umar said: Allah's Messenger, here is Abu Bakr, give him to drink; but Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) gave it to the desert Arab and he left out Abu Bakr and Umar. And Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: Those on the right, those on the right, those on the right (deserve preference). Anas said: This is the Sunnah, this is the Sunnah, this is the Sunnah.

Sahl b. Sa'd Sa'idi reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) was given a drink, and he drank from that, and there was on his right side a boy. and on his left some old men. He said to the boy: Do you permit me to give it to them (the old men), but that boy said: by God. I will not give preference at your hand over me in my share. He (the narrator) said that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) then gave it in his hand.

This hadith is reported on the authority of Sahl b. Sa'd with a slight variation of wording.

Ibn 'Abbas reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him.) as saying: When any one of you eats food he should not wipe his hand until he has licked it himself or has given it to someone else to lick.

Ibn 'Abbas reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: When any one of you eats food he should not wipe his hand until he has licked it or got it licked by (someone else).

Ibn Ka'b b. Malik reported on the authority of his father that he saw Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) licking his three fingers (after having finished the food). Ibn Hatim made no mention of three . This hadith is also narrated through another chain of transmitters.
