Ibn 'Abbas reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) drank (water) from Zamzam in a bucket while he was standing.

و حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَرِبَ مِنْ زَمْزَمَ مِنْ دَلْوٍ مِنْهَا وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ

سفیان نے عاصم سے ، انھوں نے شعبہ سے ، انھوں نے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے زمزم کا پانی ، اس کے ایک ڈول سےکھڑے کھڑے پیا ۔

Ibn 'Abbas reported that Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) drank (water) from Zamzam while he was standing.

Ibn 'Abbas reported: I served (water from) Zamzam to Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ), and he drank while standing, and he asked for it while he was near the House (i. e. House of Allah-Ka'ba).

Anas reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) breathed three times (outside the vessel) in the course of a drink and said: It is more thirst- quenching, healthier and more wholesome. Anas said: So I also breathe three times in the course of a drink.
