Uthman b. 'Urwa reported on the authority of his father that he said: I asked 'A'isha with what thing she perfumed the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) at the time of entering upon the state of Ihram. She said: With the best of perfume.

وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، جَمِيعًا عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا: بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ طَيَّبْتِ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ حُرْمِهِ؟ قَالَتْ: بِأَطْيَبِ الطِّيبِ

سفیان نے ہمیں حدیث بیان کی کہا : ہمیں عثمان بن عروہ نے اپنے والد ( عروہ ) سے حدیث بیان کی کہا : میں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے سوال کیا آپ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو احرا م باندھتے وقت کو ن سی خوشبو لگا ئی تھی ؟انھوں نے فر ما یا سب سے اچھی خوشبو ۔

A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: I applied the best perfume, which I could get, to the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) before entering upon the state of Ihram (and after this) he put on the Ihram.

A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: I applied the best available perfume I could find to the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) before he entered upon the state of Ihram and after he was free from it.

A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: I still seem to see the glistening of the perfume where the hair parted on Allah's Messenger's ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) head as he was in the state of Ihram, and Khalaf (one of the narrators) did not say: As he was in the state of Ihram, but said: That was the perfume of Ihram.
