A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: I applied the best available perfume I could find to the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) before he entered upon the state of Ihram and after he was free from it.

وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ، عَنْ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: «طَيَّبْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِحُرْمِهِ حِينَ أَحْرَمَ، وَلِحِلِّهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُفِيضَ بِأَطْيَبِ مَا وَجَدْتُ»

ابو الرجال ( محمد بن عبد الر حمان بن حارثہ انصاری ) نے اپنی والد ہ ( عمرہ بنت عبد الرحمان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا بن سعد زرارہ انصار یہ ) سے انھوں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت کی ، انھوں نے کہا : میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو احرا م باند ھتے وقت جب آپ احرا م کا ارادہ فرماتے اور طواف افاضہ کرنے سے پہلے احرا م کھو لتے وقت جو سب سے عمدہ خوشبو پا ئی وہ لگا ئی ۔

A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: I still seem to see the glistening of the perfume where the hair parted on Allah's Messenger's ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) head as he was in the state of Ihram, and Khalaf (one of the narrators) did not say: As he was in the state of Ihram, but said: That was the perfume of Ihram.
