Translation

Urwah (also) said: 'A'isha?, the wife of the Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) narrated it to me that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) used to say the afternoon prayer, when the light of the sun was there in her apartment before it went out (of it).

قَالَ عُرْوَةُ، وَلَقَدْ حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّ الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ فِي حُجْرَتِهَا، قَبْلَ أَنْ تَظْهَرَ

زہر ی سے امام مالک کی سابقہ سند ہی سے روایت ہے کہ عروہ نے کہاے : مجھے نبی اکرم ﷺ کی زوجہ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہا نے بتایا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ عصر کی نماز ( اس وقت ) پڑھتے کہ دھوپ ان کے حجرے میں ہوتی ، ( حجرے میں سے ) دھوپ باہر نکلنے سے پہلے ۔ ( مغربی دیوار کا سایہ حجرے کے دروازے تک نہ پہنچا ہوتا ۔ )

A'isha reported: The Apostle of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said the afternoon prayer as the sun shone in my apartment, and the afternoon shadow did not extend further. Abu Bakr said: The afternoon shadow did not appear to extend further.

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr that the Prophet ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: When you pray Fajr, its time is until the first part of the sun appears. When you pray Zuhr, its time is until 'Asr comes. When you pray 'Asr, its time is until the sun turns yellow. When you pray Maghrib, its time is until the twilight has disappeared. When you pray 'Isha, its time is until half of the night has passed.

Abdullah b. 'Amr reported the Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) saying: The time of the noon prayer (lasts) as long as it is not afternoon, and the time of the afternoon prayer (lasts) as long as the sun does not turn pale and the time of the evening prayer (lasts) as long as the spreading appearance of the redness above the horizon after sunset does not sink down, and the, time of the night prayer (lasts) by midnight and the time of the morning prayer (lasts) as long as the sun dots not rise.
