حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُعَاوِيِّ، قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ مَالِكٍ، وَزَادَ: قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: فَكَانَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ، ثُمَّ حَدَّثَنِيهِ مُسْلِمٌ
  ابن ابی عمر نے کہا : ہمیں سفیان نے مسلم بن ابی مریم سے حدیث سنائی ‘ انھوں نے علی بن عبد الرحمان معادی سے روایت کی ئ انھوں نے کہا : میں نے حضرت ابن عمر ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ کے ساتھ کھڑے ہو کر نماز پڑھی ...پھر سفیان نے مالک کی حدیث کی طرح حدیث بیان کی اور ( سفیان کے شاگرد ابن ابی عمر نے ) یہ اضافہ کیا کہ سفیان نے کہا : یحییٰ بن سعید نے ہمیں یہ حدیث مسلم ( بن ابی مریم ) سے بیان کی تھی ‘ پھر مسلم ( بن ابی مریم ) نے خود مجھے یہ حدیث سنائی ۔

Abu Ma'mar reported: There was an Amir in Mecca who pronounced taslim twice. Abdullah said: Where did he get this sunnah? Al-Hakam said: There is a hadith to the effect that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) did like It.
