Abdullah reported: An Amir or a person pronounced taslim twice. 'Abdullah said: Where did he get this sunnah?

وَحَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، - قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: رَفَعَهُ مَرَّةً - «أَنَّ أَمِيرًا أَوْ رَجُلًا سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيمَتَيْنِ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ أَنَّى عَلِقَهَا»

احمد بن حنبل نے کہا : ہمیں یحییٰ بن سعید نے شعبہ سے حدیث سنائی ‘ انھوں نے مجاہد سے ‘ انھوں نے ابو معمر سے اور انھوں نے حضرت عبد اللہ ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ سے روایت کی ۔ شعبہ نے کہا ۔ حکم نے ایک بار یہ روایت مرفوع بیان کی ۔ کہ ایک حاکم یا ایک آدمی نے دو طرف سلام پھیراتو عبداللہ ( بن مسعود ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ ) نے کہا : اس نے یہ ( سنت ) کہا سے اپنا لی ہے ؟ گویا اس دور کے حاکموں نے ایسی سنتیں بھی ترک کی ہوئی تھیں ۔ جس نے اہتمام کیا صحابہ نے اسے سراہا ۔ محدثین کی کاوشوں سے یہ سب سنتیں زندہ ہوئیں ۔

Amir b. Sa'd reported: I saw the Messenger of Allah (may peace be open him) pronouncing taslim on his right and on his left till I saw the whiteness of his cheek

Ibn 'Abbas said: We used to know that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) had finished his prayer when we heard the takbir (Allah-O-Akbar).

Ibn 'Abbas reported: We knew the finishing of the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) through takbir. 'Amr (b. Dinar) said: I made a mention of it to Abu Mas'ud. hue he rejected it and said: I never narrated it to you. 'Amr said: He did narrate it before this.

Ibn 'Abbas reported: Dhikr (mentioning the name of Allah) in a loud voice after obligatory prayers was (a common practice) during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) ; and when I heard that I came to knew that they (the people) had finished the prayer

A'isha reported: The Prophet ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) entered my house when a Jewess was with me and she was saying: Do you know that you would be put to trial in the grave? The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) trembled (on hearing this) and said: It is the Jews only who would-be put to trial. 'A'isha said: We passed some nights and then the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: Do you know that it has been revealed to me: You would be put to trial in the grave ? 'A'isha said: 1 heard the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) seeking refuge from the torment of the grave after this.
