Abu Huraira reported: I perceive as if I am looking at the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) folding up a part of his cloth with another one.

وَحَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، ح قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، ح قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، كُلُّهُمْ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُلَيَّةَ وَزَادَ فِي حَدِيثِ هُشَيْمٍ قَالَ: أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرُدُّ ثَوْبَهُ بَعْضَهُ عَلَى بَعْضٍ

ابن علیہ کے بجائے ) عبدالوارث ، ہشیم اورشعبہ نے قاسم بن مہران سے حدیث بیان کی ۔ انھوں نے ابو رافع سے ، انھوں نے حضرت ابو ہریرہ ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ سے ، انھوں نے نبی ﷺ سے ابن علیہ کی حدیث کی طرح ( روایت بیان کی ۔ ) ہشیم کی حدیث میں یہ اضافہ کیا : ابو ہریرہ ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ نے کہا : جیسے میں دیکھ رہا ہوں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کپڑے کا ایک حصہ دوسرے پر لوٹا ( رگڑ ) رہے ہیں ۔ ( اس طرح مسجد میں گندگی نہیں پھیلتی اور کپڑے کو باہر لے جا کر دھویا جاسکتا ہے ۔ )

Anas b. Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: When any one of you is engaged in prayer, he is holding intimate conversation with his Lord, so none of you must spit in front of him, or towards his right side, but towards his left side under his foot.

Anas b. Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: Spitting in a mosque is a sin, and its expiation is that it should be buried.

Shu'ba reported: I asked Qatada about spitting, in the mosque. He said: I heard Anas b. Malik say: I heard the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) say: Spitting in the mosque is a sin, and its expiation is that it should be buried.

Abu Dharr reported: The Apostle of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: The deeds of my people, good and bad, were presented before me, and I found the removal of something objectionable from the road among their good deeds, and the sputum mucus left unburied in the mosque among their evil deeds.

Abdullah b. Shakhkhir reported on the authority of his father that he said: I said prayer with the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) and saw him spitting and rubbing it off with his shoe.

Abdullah b. Shakhkhir narrated it on the authority of his father that he said prayer with the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ), and he spat and then rubbed it off with his left shoe.
