Translation

Al-Aswad bin Yazid narrated that: Ibn Az-Zubair said to him: Narrated to me from what the Mother of the Believers used to (secretly) inform you about - meaning Aishah - so he said: She narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah said: 'Had your people not been still close to the pre-Islamic period of ignorance, then I would demolish the Ka'bah and rebuild it with two doors.' He said: So when Ibn Az-Zubair came to power he demolished it and rebuilt it with two doors.

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، أَنَّ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ حَدِّثْنِي بِمَا كَانَتْ تُفْضِي إِلَيْكَ أُمُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَعْنِي عَائِشَةَ، فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَتْنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ لَهَا:‏‏‏‏ لَوْلَا أَنَّ قَوْمَكِ حَدِيثُو عَهْدٍ بِالْجَاهِلِيَّةِ لَهَدَمْتُ الْكَعْبَةَ وَجَعَلْتُ لَهَا بَابيْنِ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَلَمَّا مَلَكَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ هَدَمَهَا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا بَابيْنِ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

اسود بن یزید سے روایت ہے کہ عبداللہ بن زبیر رضی الله عنہما نے ان سے کہا: تم مجھ سے وہ باتیں بیان کرو، جسے ام المؤمنین یعنی عائشہ رضی الله عنہا تم سے رازدارانہ طور سے بیان کیا کرتی تھیں، انہوں نے کہا: مجھ سے انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے فرمایا: ”اگر تمہاری قوم کے لوگ جاہلیت چھوڑ کر نئے نئے مسلمان نہ ہوئے ہوتے، تو میں کعبہ کو گرا دیتا اور اس میں دو دروازے کر دیتا“، چنانچہ ابن زبیر رضی الله عنہما جب اقتدار میں آئے تو انہوں نے کعبہ گرا کر اس میں دو دروازے کر دیئے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

Aishah narrated: I wanted to enter the House to perform Salat in it, so the Messenger of Allah took me by the hand and put me in the Hijr, and he said: 'Perform Salat in the Hijri if you want to enter the House. For indeed it is part of the House, but your people considered it insignificant when they built the Ka'bah, so they put it outside the House.'

Ibn Abbas narrated that: The Messenger of Allah said: The Black Stone descended from the Paradise, and it was more white than milk, then it was blackened by the sins of the children of Adam.

Abdullah bin Amr narrated that : He heard the Messenger of Allah saying: Indeed the Corner and the Maqam are two corundums from the corundum of Paradise. Allah removed their lights, and if their lights had not been removed then they would illuminate what is between east and the west.

Ata reported that Ibn Abbas narrated: The Messenger of Allah led us in Salat at Mina for Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr, then he left in the morning to Arafat.

Al-Hakam reported from Miqsam, that Ibn Abbas narrated: That the Prophet prayed Zuhr and Fajr in Mina, then he left in the morning to Arafat.

Aishah said: We said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Shall we build a structure to shade you at Mina? He said: 'No., Mina is a resting place for whoever arrives.'
