Aishah narrated: I wanted to enter the House to perform Salat in it, so the Messenger of Allah took me by the hand and put me in the Hijr, and he said: 'Perform Salat in the Hijri if you want to enter the House. For indeed it is part of the House, but your people considered it insignificant when they built the Ka'bah, so they put it outside the House.'
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كُنْتُ أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَدْخُلَ الْبَيْتَ فَأُصَلِّيَ فِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِي فَأَدْخَلَنِي الْحِجْرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ صَلِّي فِي الْحِجْرِ إِنْ أَرَدْتِ دُخُولَ الْبَيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ قِطْعَةٌ مِنْ الْبَيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَكِنَّ قَوْمَكِ اسْتَقْصَرُوهُ حِينَ بَنَوْا الْكَعْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَخْرَجُوهُ مِنْ الْبَيْتِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ هُوَ عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ.
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں   میں چاہتی تھی کہ بیت اللہ میں داخل ہو کر اس میں نماز پڑھوں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے میرا ہاتھ پکڑا اور مجھے حطیم ۱؎ کے اندر کر دیا اور فرمایا: ”اگر تم بیت اللہ کے اندر داخل ہونا چاہتی ہو تو حطیم میں نماز پڑھ لو، یہ بھی بیت اللہ کا ایک حصہ ہے، لیکن تمہاری قوم کے لوگوں نے کعبہ کی تعمیر کے وقت اسے چھوٹا کر دیا، اور اتنے حصہ کو بیت اللہ سے خارج کر دیا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

Ibn Abbas narrated that: The Messenger of Allah said: The Black Stone descended from the Paradise, and it was more white than milk, then it was blackened by the sins of the children of Adam.
