Translation

Aishah narrated: The Messenger of Allah would struggle (to perform Salat more) during the last ten (nights) more than he would struggle in the rest of it.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجْتَهِدُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مَا لَا يَجْتَهِدُ فِي غَيْرِهَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم آخری عشرے میں عبادت میں اتنی کوشش کرتے تھے جتنی دوسرے دنوں میں نہیں کرتے تھے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح غریب ہے۔

Amir bin Mas'ud narrated that: The Prophet said: Fasting during the winter is an easy reward.
