Translation

It has been related in a narration from Ibn Umar that : the Prophet said: Whoever performs Wudu while in a state of purity, Allah writes for him on account of it ten good merits.

وَقَدْ رُوِيَ فِي حَدِيثٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ عَلَى طُهْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهِ عَشْرَ حَسَنَاتٍ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَرَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ الْأَفْرِيقِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي غُطَيْفٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، عَنْ الْأَفْرِيقِيِّ، وَهُوَ إِسْنَادٌ ضَعِيفٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ:‏‏‏‏ ذَكَرَ لِهِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا إِسْنَادٌ مَشْرِقِيٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْت أَحْمَدَ بْنَ الْحَسَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ حَنْبَلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ مَا رَأَيْتُ بِعَيْنِي مِثْلَ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانِ.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی الله علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جو وضو پر وضو کرے گا اللہ اس کے لیے دس نیکیاں لکھے گا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث افریقی نے ابوغطیف سے اور ابوغطیف نے ابن عمر سے اور ابن عمر نے نبی اکرم صلی الله علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی ہے، ہم سے اسے حسین بن حریث مروزی نے محمد بن یزید واسطی کے واسطے سے بیان کیا ہے اور محمد بن یزید نے افریقی سے روایت کی ہے اور یہ سند ضعیف ہے، ۲- علی بن مدینی کہتے ہیں کہ یحییٰ بن سعید القطان کہتے ہیں: انہوں نے اس حدیث کا ذکر ہشام بن عروہ سے کیا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ سند مشرقی ہے ۱؎، ۳- میں نے احمد بن حسن کو کہتے ہوئے سنا کہ میں نے احمد بن حنبل کو کہتے سنا ہے: میں نے اپنی آنکھ سے یحییٰ بن سعید القطان کے مثل کسی کو نہیں دیکھا۔

Amr bin Amir Al-Ansari narrated that he heard Anas bin Malik saying: The Prophet would perform Wudu for every Salat. I said, So what about you, what would you do? He said I wouId pray all of the prayers with one Wudu, as long as we had not committed Hadath (anything that invalidates Wudu).

Sulaiman bin Buraidah narrated that his father said: The Prophet would perform Wudu for every Salat. So during the year of the Conquest, he performed all of the prayers with one Wudu, and he wiped over his Khuff. So Umar said, 'You did something that you have not done before?' He replied: I did it on purpose.

Abu Hajib narrated from a man from Banu Ghifar who said: The Prophet prohibited using the leftover (water) of a woman's Purification.

A1-Hakim bin Amr AI-Ghifari narrated that: The Prophet forbade that a man should perform Wudu with the leftover (water) from a woman's purifcation. Or, he said: from her drinking.

Ibn Abbas narrated: One of the wives of the Prophet performed Ghusl with a bowl. Allah's Messenger wanted to perform Wudu with it, so she said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Indeed I am ]unub.' So he said: 'Indeed, water does not become Junub.'
