Maimunah said: I and Allah's Messenger would perform Ghusl for Janabah from one vessel.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَتْنِي مَيْمُونَةُ، قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ قَوْلُ عَامَّةِ الْفُقَهَاءِ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْ لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ الرَّجُلُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ. قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَلِيٍّ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَائِشَةَ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَنَسٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَأُمِّ هَانِئٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَأُمِّ صُبَيَّةَ الْجُهَنِيَّةِ،‏‏‏‏ وَأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ،‏‏‏‏ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ. قال أبو عيسى:‏‏‏‏ وَأَبُو الشَّعْثَاءِ اسْمُهُ:‏‏‏‏ جَابِرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ.
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   مجھ سے میمونہ رضی الله عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ میں اور رسول اللہ صلی الله علیہ وسلم دونوں ایک ہی برتن سے غسل جنابت کرتے تھے ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اکثر فقہاء کا یہی قول ہے کہ مرد اور عورت کے ایک ہی برتن سے غسل کرنے میں کوئی حرج نہیں، ۳- اس باب میں علی، عائشہ، انس، ام ہانی، ام حبیبہ، ام سلمہ اور ابن عمر رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔
