Translation

Narrated Umm Salamah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) called for Fatimah in the Year of the Conquest to him to speak to her, and she cried. Then he spoke to her and she laughed. She said: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) died I asked her about her crying and her laughing. She said: 'The Messenger of Allah (SAW0 informed me that he would (soon) die, so I cried. Then, he informed me that I was the master over all of the women among the inhabitants of Paradise, except for Mariam bint 'Imran, so I laughed.'

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ابْنُ عَثْمَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الزَّمْعِيُّ، عَنْ هَاشِمِ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ وَهْبِ بْنِ زَمْعَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَعَا فَاطِمَةَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ فَنَاجَاهَا،‏‏‏‏ فَبَكَتْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ حَدَّثَهَا،‏‏‏‏ فَضَحِكَتْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ فَلَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَأَلْتُهَا عَنْ بُكَائِهَا وَضَحِكِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ يَمُوتُ،‏‏‏‏ فَبَكَيْتُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنِّي سَيِّدَةُ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَّا مَرْيَمَ بِنْتَ عِمْرَانَ فَضَحِكْتُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی الله عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فتح مکہ کے سال فاطمہ کو بلایا اور ان کے کان میں کچھ باتیں کہیں تو وہ رو پڑیں، پھر آپ نے دوبارہ ان سے کچھ کہا تو وہ ہنسنے لگیں، پھر جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم وفات پا گئے تو میں نے ان سے ان کے رونے اور ہنسنے کی وجہ پوچھی تو انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے یہ بتایا تھا کہ عنقریب آپ وفات پا جائیں گے، تو ( یہ سن کر ) میں رونے لگی تھی، پھر آپ نے جب مجھے یہ بتایا کہ مریم بنت عمران کو چھوڑ کر میں اہل جنت کے تمام عورتوں کی سردار ہوں گی ۱؎، تو یہ سن کر میں ہنسنے لگی۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن غریب ہے۔

Narrated Anas: said: It reached Safiyyah that Hafsah said: 'The daughter of a Jew' so she wept. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) entered upon her while she was crying, so he said: 'What makes you cry?' She said: 'Hafsah said to me that I am the daughter of a Jew.' So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'And you are the daughter of a Prophet, and your uncle is a Prophet, and you are married to a Prophet, so what is she boasting to you about?' Then he said: 'Fear Allah, O Hafsah.'

Narrated 'Aishah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The best of you is the best to his wives, and I am the best of you to my wives, and when your companion dies, leave him alone.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: No one should convey to me anything regarding any of my Companions, for I love that I should go out to them while my breast is at peace. 'Abdullah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was brought some wealth, so the Prophet (ﷺ) distributed it. Then I came across two men that were sitting saying: 'By Allah! Muhammad (ﷺ) did not intend the Face of Allah in his distribution, nor the abode of the Hereafter.' So I spread this when I heard them, and I went to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and I informed him. So his face became red and he said: 'Do not bother me with this, for indeed Musa was afflicted by more than this and he was patient.'

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: No one should convey to me anything regarding anyone.

Narrated Ubayy bin Ka'b: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him: Indeed Allah has ordered me to recite the Qur'an to you. So he recited to him: Those who disbelieved were not going to... (98:1) and he recited in it: Indeed the religion with Allah is that which is Hanafiyyah, Muslim, not Judaism, nor Christianity, nor Zoroastrian, whoever does good then it shall not be rejected from him. And he recited to him: If the son of Adam had a valley of wealth he would seek a second, and if he had a second he would seek a third, and nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dirt. And Allah pardons those who repent.
